The Visapur Fort
Visapur fort is one of the hill fort located in the Maharashtra, District- Pune, Malavli. it is also know as twin of the Lohagad fort.
Height: near about 1084 meters (3556 ft) above sea level.
Viasapur fort is known for high elevation and strong fortification walls.
How to reach the VISAPUR FORT?
If you are travelling from Mumbai: (vehicle or railway)
Travel via Lonavala to Malavli station.
From Pune: Pune station - Malavli station,
fort is 10 Km from station. up to 5 Km its plan road further road is under-construction but you can reach to the bottom of fort by vehicle.
you have to keep left once you reach Visapur fort check post , on right its Lohagad Fort.

Walk for 15 to 20 minutes through the green forest route then trek 20 minutes hilly path, its not so difficult to reach top of Fort.

Best Time to visit
August - September
Many trekkers and visitors visit fort in rainy season, its full of greenery and waterfall.
Place to visit:
Caves, Hanuman temple, water tanks and storage, watch towers /Archer tower, two old buildings called as government office and some of building foundation which was the house and barracks for army and most attractive place is the lake. on left side top of fort. its a plan ground once it was a training ground for army.
History:
It was build in by Peshwa Balaji Viswanath in start of 1700 AD, it was occupied by the British East India company on 04th march, 1818 with help of some native army and European army. after independence 1947 AD its under government of India.
Important Guide Lines:
Carry enough drinking water.
Some food which has glucose which will keep away from dehydration.
First Aid Kit
wear trekking shoes and cloth.
If possible umbrella and rain coat in rainy season.
stay away from risky points.
trek in group.
Carry as possible as ' light Weight'.
